"I definitely recommend this restaurant. The owner and her husband who is the cook made us feel like we were guests in their house. I had the BBQ Half Chicken which was served with Rice, Vegetables and Chips. I also had the collard green soup. All was delicious. The restaurant is BYOB so this makes it even better. The ambience was nice. I wished I had room for dessert but I was stuffed."

"Manolo's is a little neighborhood restaurant that you might pass by, but don't! I met the friendly owner Julia one day as I was walking and stopped to ask her about the restaurant. I decided to oder take out to try it and was very impressed. We ordered the whole barbecued chicken and it was delicious. It came with a large side of vegetables cooked to perfection, yellow rice, a salad and homemade chips. Don't miss the Portuguese hot sauce for your chicken. Finally went there for dinner last night with 2 friends. The tables were covered in white linen table cloths which is a nice touch. Julia was our waitress and she was very attentive. Once again the food was excellent. I tried the grilled cod fish which was served with vegetables, potatoes, roasted peppers and onions in garlic and oil. Save some room for dessert! We will be back again!"

"We came here at the recommendation of a friend. Did not disappoint!! Food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We had codfish cake fritters for appetizer. Crispy on the outside and creamy smooth deliciousness on the inside. Wife had the Grill platter and I had the Mariscada in Green Sauce. Both were phenomenal. Some FYIs when you come: - Portions are large. (We took home enough for a full meal another day). -No alcohol. We were forewarned and it is not an issue for us but don't be deducting stars because you couldn't get an adult beverage. I was told that if you bring your own wine, they will uncork and serve at no charge, but this is second hand. -They have some Italian items on the menu. (Not sure why). We didn't try them so I will not comment on quality. I will say that the poor (one star) review I read was from someone who stated she wanted Portuguese food and ordered the Sole Francese. ...I'm just saying, that if she ordered one of the many Portuguese entrees she would not have been disappointed (although not definite as most of her other reviews are one star). -The place is small. Don't go for ambiance. Go for the food. (I have found that some of my favorite places are little "hole-in-the-wall" establishments). Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood!"
